Thorn Bending

Bending tubular stainless steel (or rectangular cross section as per the client's requirements) over a support thorn / dome bending, thorn bending segment (possibly also to flatten corrugations) using a bend radius Ri = 1.5xD (upon special request up to Ri = 1xD).

(The cross section may deform, depending on the bend radius and the geometry of the object, but the use of the thorn will generally limit or hinder this.)

Software programming sets the geometry of the component, with the data then transferred online to the machine enabling fully automatic bending and replication for single item or series production.

Data Sheets for Thorn Bending

We will bend your specific components according to your specifications. To ensure the process is as uncomplicated as possible, please measure and sketch your components clearly. We then enter the data into the software.
